| I was born on 21st february 1939 at Ruislip Gardens, Middlesex UK, Attended Cannon lane Primary, Potter Street, Northwood Secondary Modern & Acton Technical College, Member of Ruislip Motorcycle club, Apprenticed Toolmaker at Handley Page Ltd, followed by various engineering companies finally Foreman /Acting works Manager before emigrating to Australia on January 1st 1967. Met Valerie in 1960 at workmates party and got married in 1961, had two sons in UK and two More in Australia. Employed in Australia at GMH Woodville as toolmaker for 2 years then various positions finally as Production Planner at Evans Deakin Ltd., till 1988 then a change to of profesion to Club Manager of Parafield Gardens Community Club until retirement in 1998. My community involvement in Australia has been Parafield Gardens Primary School Committee , Parafield Gardens Community Club Founder Member,Vice President, Secretary, President and Manager and Life Membeer, Won Most Professional Manager Licenced Clubs Association awards three times. Willunga Landcare committee member and Chairperson, Board member of Licenced Clubs Assoc. of SA, Victor Harbor Garden Club Publicity Officer, Fleurieu Harmony Secretary, Events Officer,Music Librairian and Vice President,and President Founder of Southcoast Barbershop Singers, MD ,Secretary/ Treasurer. BHA Central Region inaugeral Chairman, & Treasurer. Singing experience, Sung in Secondary School choir for about six monthts, Sung with Father in Law in UK pubs, a bit of Karioke at the Community Club and joined Fleurieu Harmony in 2003 singing Lead then permanently to Tenor, also singing Tenor with (Southcoast) Harborside Harmony Chorus and Masters Gold Medal Quartet "293 not out" . Other Interests Motor sport,Jazz Music, fishing, golf ( won NAGA award ) and gardening.. |
